SSR03 Repulsion Motor Vocational Trainer Workbench Educational Laboratory Bench Electrical Training Equipment1. Equipment introduction
1.1 Overview
The repulsion motor is a single-phase AC commutator motor, suitable for occasions where single-phase power supply requires speed regulation and steering change. This type of motor is designed to provide a high level of torque or rotational force upon starting and to be able to easily change the direction of rotation. It uses a series of contact brushes that can have different angles and contact levels to change torque and rotational parameters.
1.2 Features
The repulsion motor is a single-phase AC commutator motor. Its characteristics are mainly reflected in the following aspects:
1. Power supply mode: The stator winding of the repulsion motor is powered by a single-phase power supply, and the rotor is an armature winding with a commutator that is short-circuited by a brush.
2. Steering and speed control: By adjusting the position of the brush, the steering and running speed of the rotor can be changed. When the brushes deviate counterclockwise from the geometric centerline, the rotor rotates clockwise; when the brushes deviate clockwise from the geometric centerline, the rotor rotates counterclockwise.
3. Starting torque: The repulsion motor has a large starting force, and its starting torque reaches 3-5 times of the full load torque.
4. Mechanical characteristics: The operating characteristics of the repulsion motor are similar to those of the DC series motor and can achieve heavy-load starting of mechanical loads.
5. Application scope: Suitable for occasions where the drive needs to adjust speed and change direction, especially suitable for single-phase power supply environments.
6. Overload protection: Some motors are equipped with overload protection devices to protect the motor from burning due to excessive current during overload.
7. Structure complexity: The structure of the repulsion motor is relatively complex, and its stator and rotor have coils.
